Continuum

by The Juicer

What begins may end –
Swimming
in gene-pools of fatality;
Gravitating towards the edges,
Writhing and denying; propelled.

Evolved and emancipated,
Longing
for catharsis, not a primal need.
Limbs of the two-legged animal upright,
Setting us apart.

They stoke a fire;
All beasts.
What if there is no light,
at the end of the tunnel;
What if there is no end in sight.
